Trupthi Chougule, International Speech Contestant Area Level 2021

November 2020 - midst of the pandemic. All that work from home was making me feel like I don't have enough people to talk to and I felt kind of claustrophobic, locked in my house, and nothing new to do. I thought I was losing my skill to talk to people. That is when I decided that probably joining toastmasters will help me meet new people, virtually of course, but I will still be conversing with a new set of folks and doing something different. And then I took a plunge and finally joined CiscoSpeaks toastmasters. I am currently doing my Leadership Development pathway where I learned how I can talk to different people in different scenarios and manage to lead events virtually amidst the pandemic. Joining CiscoSpeaks bolstered and restored my confidence in speaking. I also participated in the International Speech Contest. It has been a fun ride till now. I am very excited to see what it holds for me in the future.
